# Leonard

Leonard is a senior software engineer you can onboard instantly. Say what you want in your own words. Leonard does the rest.

## How it works

One request, start to finish.

1. **You ask in Slack or in GitHub.** Your own words either way: a message in a channel, or an issue filed the way your team already files them. Nothing technical, no format to follow.
2. **Leonard keeps the issue up to date.** He opens it if you didn't (the ticket nobody had time to write) and then works in it. What he assumed, what he found, where he got to. Check on him without asking him.
3. **A pull request, ready for review.** Leonard opens a pull request, then tells you when it's done. Leonard stops there: a person reviews and merges it.

Nobody has to be an engineer to get a change made.

- **09:14, Slack #support.** Maya: "@Leonard the invite emails arent going out for some people i think since friday"
- **09:14, Leonard:** "Some people aren't receiving invite emails, starting around Friday. I'll look at what sends them and at what changed late last week."
- **09:16, GitHub issue #482, opened by Leonard.** Understood as: invite emails are not reaching some recipients, starting on or around Friday 18 Sep. Assumed: aperion/web, the team-invite send path.
- **09:41, Leonard on the issue:** "Reproduced it. The addresses that fail all have a plus sign in them. Everyone else is receiving invites normally."
- **10:51, Leonard on the issue:** "Fix is up for review in #1206. 41 people were affected since Friday; they will receive their invites once it is merged."
- **10:51, Leonard in Slack:** "Done. The address check now accepts plus-addressed recipients, and the 41 held invites go out on the next send. Pull request #1206 is open and ready for review."

## Pricing

You pay for Leonards, not for seats. One Leonard works one task at a time, start to finish. If your team asks for more than one thing at once, you hire more than one.
